To augment the Montessori methods at Grey Matter Montessori, our students also receive a research and scientifically-based IPC curriculum. The International Preschool Curriculum (IPC) is a professional association of more than 100 schools worldwide, designed to strengthen and enhance early childhood education standards. The IPC method is based upon a partnership between school owners, teachers, students, parents and the government.
Present in over 90 countries across the world, the IPC organization is internationally recognized for meeting and surpassing all curricula requirements. It features a Preschool Curriculum (designed for children ages 3-6 years.)
In addition to being thematic and objective based, the curriculum is also research-based to ensure that your child’s brain and skills are developing wholly. Professionally designed by the IPC design-studio, this preschool curriculum covers 6 key areas of learning:
The IPC provides several learning aides per thematic unit including student workbooks, flashcards, worksheets and much more. A selection of Emergent Literacy is offered to each IPC school to enhance students’ learning and reading ability. To further enhance the quality of education, the IPC has developed a phonics program designed to teach preschool students the basis of spelling, reading and writing.
Through extensive research, the IPC found that parental involvement in a child’s education is extremely crucial in fostering the development of early learning skills, which are essential later in life.
That is why, at Grey Matter Montessori, we are dedicated to keeping open communication with our students’ parents and encourage active involvement in your child’s education and development through:
At Grey Matter Montessori, we strive to provide the most comprehensive and diverse education to our students through the IPC preschool curriculum and continuously encourage open communication between teachers, students and parents to build long-lasting, successful relationships.
